Avalon Court townhouses

Just five art-deco-styled flat-roofed condo townhouses make up this little development that fits in nicely with the small-scale older houses and low-rise residential buildings of Bridgeland. Built in 2000 by Monolith Holdings on a design by Calgary's Alloy Design Group, the five suites have a garden passageway between one home and the other four. All suites have a basement, but while three of the townhouses rise to three floors above grade, the other two rise only two floors, making for uneven and interesting roof lines.

Every suite at Avalon Court has Maple hardwood flooring, maple cabinets, a gas fireplace, and an patio. Two suites have lofts, giving wide-open interior light. Including the basement spaces, the smallest suite here is 1,094 square feet, with two of them approaching 1,600 square feet. Parking is surface stalls at the back. The frame construction is stucco clad and always looks well maintained, likely as a self-managed condominium corporation. Exterior windows and doors at Avalon Court are common property for maintenance and eventual replacement. I have some floor plans and the Condo Plan on file.
