Mission Royale
Here we go again with a "Mission" name, even though the building is in Cliff Bungalow. But a nice building it is, with concrete construction on four floors plus a loft level for the seven top-floor suites....'nice.
Suites are all large two-bedroom layouts of not less than 962 square feet, ranging up to 1,281 square feet. While the lofts for the seven top-floor suites are small, they allow for sloping ceilings reaching a peak of 16 feet. All 25 suites have a wood-burning fireplace and a balcony or a large patio. Suites at the west end have interesting angles, as the building's west side is at 45 degrees to the building's front wall. Three suites on the north-west corner have windows in three directions. There is elevator service, and parking is all assigned surface stalls around back, although some of those are "carport" parking tucked under the building's overhang. This was a condominium project when built in 1979/80, so it was never a rental property. The location is adjacent to the treed slope up to Mount Royal, and a park is across 24th street. 'Almost feels like out in the country!
Exterior windows and doors at Mission Royale are common property for maintenance and eventual replacement. Dog are not allowed. The building has had its own in-house web site since 2008, and it posts the building's documents. I keep the Mission Royale Condo Plan on file.
