Stratford Towers

Built in 1967 and condo converted but not renovated in 2007, this tired building overlooking the Red Mile appears to remain largely a rental, with no sign of renovations other than a coat of exterior paint and only a few suites sold.  Some improvements were under way in 2011. The owners--a numbered company--continue the rental business and may just sell the odd suite when they choose.

The concrete tower rises eight floors, holding 78 small suites ranging from 551 square feet to 774 square feet plus one penthouse of 1,960 square feet and some nice roof-top deck space. The building's main floor is divided into numerous bays for shops and a bakery while remaining a single legal property, so will likely be held by the owner for rental revenue. There's a single level of 27 titled parking stalls in the basement, reached by two narrow ramps off the back alley. There's also ample surface parking for customers of the commercial spaces.
