There are 216 condominium units in this large 17-storey building, with five of those being ground-floor commercial spaces and one of them a huge second-floor daycare space, leaving 210 units that are condo apartment homes. There is a bewildering array of floor plans here--35 different layouts!

Built in 1981 as a concrete (PT cable reinforced) rental building, and condo converted in 1993, Prince's Crossing still has a number of investment suites. Laundries were not built into the suites, and the plumbing can't accommodate full-sized stacking laundry sets, so they're prohibited, although I'm sure the all-in-one laundry machines would not trouble the plumbing at all. Parking is all indoor assigned common property.

With its near-the-Bow-River location and height, many suites here have terrific views north across the river valley to Nose Hill Park, while south-facing suites have a panorama of downtown. All suites have a balcony, many of them rounded on the south face, and 10 suites have more than one balcony. That large second-floor commercial space of 4,500 square feet, housing a day care, has 4,750 square feet of outdoor space!

Other suites span the range from small one-bedroom places to reasonably-sized two-bedroom suites to a two-level penthouse suite of an amazing 4,750 square feet. I hate to think of the condo fees on a space like that. 'Which reminds me that condo contributions have always been a bit higher than average at Prince's Crossing. But then, that expense includes in-suite electrical cost, so there's one less bill to pay. This is a great location just off the river and a mere stroll to work downtown with restaurants, a convenience store and other services under the same roof.

In 2009 I heard that $1.4 million had been spent on common-area improvements to the security system, the gym, hallways and lighting. Exterior windows and doors at Prince's Crossing are common property. I have the Condo Plan on file.
