Mission Walk

Here's another nicely-renovated four-storey concrete walk-up building just steps away from the Elbow River, this one housing 23 suites ranging from 489 square-foot one-bedroom places to 833 square-foot two-bedroom suites. MIssion Walk was built in 1973 and condo converted in 2005. All suites were opened up and outfitted with maple cabinets, stainless-steel appliances and hardwood or laminate flooring, plus in-suite laundries. It looks like every suite received new windows and patio slider doors, and the building exterior was spruced up with some ornate tile work.

There's an assigned parking stall around back for every suite, and there may be a bit of storage on the lower level. Like all these simple concrete buildings (no post-tensioned cables, no elevator), they should enjoy reasonable condo fees for decades to come. If I'd known how good an investment these suites would be, I'd have bought more of them than I did!

Exterior windows and door at Mission Walk are common property for maintenance and their eventual replacement. Unit factors were assigned in proportion to each suite's floor area. I have the Condo Plan on file.
