Hearthstone Manor

These six large townhouses were built as a conventional condominium in 1990, and few have changed hands since then. The three-storey design starts with drive-under parking for two cars under each home, and space on the driveway for one or two more vehicles. The two centre homes are recessed, so they have longer driveways, and are also the smaller two homes. These have just under 1,500 sq. ft. of living space on the two upper levels, while the other four each have well over 1,700 sq. ft. These four also each have a tower-like bay window projecting from a corner, either east or west. A small family room behind each garage opens to a forested back yard.

Floor plans are three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, with a wood-burning fireplace and natural-gas log lighter, nine-foot ceilings and a vaulted ceiling on the top floor in each of the four corner turrets. Each home has a north-facing balcony on the third level, with views from that and most windows to the north west and Nose Hill Park. This location is actually in Mount Royal proper, but I've grouped it with its adjacent condo cousins in Lower Mount Royal. Exterior windows and doors at Hearthstone Manor are common property for maintenance and future replacement.

As a conventional condominium, the property and buildings are owned jointly, and the six owners individually own their home interiors.
