Fourteen large four-level townhouses are clustered on this corner, although five of them aren't seen from either street, as they have their access off the lane or via an east-side driveway from Cameron Avenue. These were built as condo homes with completion in 1996 by Canwood Engineering and Construction, with the original address assigned to Pasera Hillandale Properties Inc. Pasera Corporation is a well-known Calgary builder with other nearby condo projects including the Savoy, Conservatory and Paserium.

The condo plan measure for these homes starts at 2,075 sq. ft., although much or all of the ground level of each home is two-car garage and utility space. Deducting that area, our Realtors' MLS measure for the finished above-grade living area starts at 1,500 sq. ft., and most have 1,800 or 1,900 sq. ft. of living space over three levels; 'nice! As well as the indoor heated garage space, virtually every home has room for two more vehicles on the driveway, so there's always visitor parking at the door.

As you can imagine the interiors here offer three bedrooms, at least two bathrooms, a natural-gas fireplace, a top-floor master suite with luxury bath and skylight, and on it goes. The living level of each home has a nine-foot ceiling height; the rest are eight feet high. The development is organized as a "conventional condominium", so all 14 owners together own the buildings' shells and structures, plus the land. At the time of writing in September, 2007, the corporation of owners had a contractor on site re-roofing the barn-shaped roofs and upgrading exterior cladding and eves troughing, which looked to be professional work. It's always good to see condo homeowners investing as necessary to maintain and improve the common property. Exterior doors and windows at Hillandale are common property for maintenance and future replacement.
