Beddington Park

This attractive three-storey 37-suite building with indoor parking was completed in 2007, jauntily angled at the corner of Fourth Street and Beddington Boulevard, N.E. The builder was Intergulf-Cidex Development Group, a company well known in B.C., and locally for various large subdivisions and condo projects such as Wildflower in Bridlewood and the three-tower Westgate Park project. This was one of the company's many "Treo" projects, so "Treo at Beddington", and more recently there's a larger Treo Marda Loop.

Most suites at Beddington Park offer two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, large windows, a corner-set natural-gas fireplace, a patio or a balcony, in-suite laundry and heated indoor titled-property parking downstairs with assigned common-property storage lockers. There are 46 parking stalls for the 37 suites, so nine suites own a second indoor stall. Suites at the back of the building face onto a pleasant strip of lawn and trees with a wooden fence separating the building from Bedfield Close and the homes beyond.

A few one-bedroom plans are 715 square feet, but most suites are two-bedroom homes, mostly of about 950 square feet, but four of them ringing in at 1,226 to 1,252 square feet--that's roomy! The building exterior fits well into the suburban landscape, what with its peaked roof and staggered design that is a suite shorter at each end on the third floor.

Exterior windows and doors at Beddington Park are common property for maintenance and eventual replacement (a lifetime from now). I have the condominium plan on file.
