A large property and nine buildings here host 252 suites built in 1990 by United Management Ltd. The development has a clubhouse with an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub, steam room, a gym, and a party room that includes a regulation-sized billiards table. There's outdoor assigned parking for every suite, a few four-car garages, seven extra-long stalls for RV parking, plus visitor parking, and still leaving lots of room for lawns and shrubbery around each building. Suites on the east side of two easterly buildings have fantastic views over the city and to downtown.

Problems with the buildings' cladding climaxed in 2008 when the owners decided to spend up to $10 million to entirely re-clad the buildings and also replace all the windows and patio slider doors, plus add glass-panel balcony railings. In 2011 the project pretty well wrapped up, making these homes water tight and warm, with the added benefit that earth-tone colours have replaced the original pink stucco (ugh!). 'An expensive job, but necessary and well done. The roofs are concrete tiles that are very long-lasting.

Suites at Edgecliffe Estates Condos are all roomy, with one-bedroom homes of about 710 square feet and two-bedroom homes of about 935 square feet. Stairwells access each group of four suites, with up to three such groups per building, which avoids linear hallways. Each building is built slab-on-grade with no basement. Suites all have a balcony or a patio and offer in-suite laundry. Exterior windows and doors at Edgecliffe Estates are common property for maintenance and eventual replacement, although they're all new, so will long out-last you and me.  A rental pool operates to manage suites owned by investors. The Condo Plan allocates unit factors to suites in proportion to their sizes. I keep the Condo Plan on file.
