Sienna Park Green Village--Dreamview Village

This 50-plus age-restricted project by Calvanna Developments Ltd. is one of several "Dreamview Villages" built in Calgary about 1999 and today each housing a couple of hundred very well-served seniors. It took several years to build the phases that today include three apartment-condo buildings totaling 138 suites, 34 villa-style townhouses and an enormous two-level clubhouse, all set in nicely landscaped grounds. With the location on the Signal Hill slopes, some of these suites and townhouses enjoy lovely views towards the forested Tsuu T'ina lands and the Rocky Mountains.

The three apartment-style buildings all have elevator service, in-suite laundries, a patio or balcony for every suite, a range of one and two-bedroom layouts and a guest suite for the visiting grandkids. All parking is indoors and heated, while visitor parking is in the courtyard adjacent to the various buildings and the clubhouse. There are also storage lockers in the garage.

Suites here tend to be large, with one-bedroom suites of 788 to 1,100 square feet and two-bedroom apartment homes all over 1,000 and up to 1,500 square feet, many with a bay window. The one-level townhouses, or "villas", are all in the 1,200 square-foot range, plus their lower levels, which were initially undeveloped, and which in some cases are walk-outs to the gardens. All the townhouses have two-car attached garages.
